Welcome

The logo stands for the triple S - SSS - Samata Seva Samiti. Samata means equality, one of the three great values for which every country fought for and every individual feel proud of.

Goutama, the Buddha, espoused this great value. He was the first man who spread: "Samata and Mamata" in the society. Buddha is a symbol of knowledge, which drives away the darkness of ignorance. Naturally he occupies prime place in the logo.

After thousands of years, at the dawn of the modern age, the first person who took education as a great weapon to bring equality in the unequal ladder society was Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. He was the first person to educate women in the society. His wife Savitribai was the first woman teacher of the entire combined India, Pakistan and Bangladesh of that times. He was the first man to start schools and bring enlightenment to the deprived classed of the society.

A new vision, a great mission statement to India was given by Baba Saheb B. R. Ambedkar. He always stood for equality and in the fact he himself stood for equal rights to all. He stood for equal economic status for men and women. Equality is dream to him he is another name for equality.

Equality comes by self-respect. It is not something others give. It is to be earned by each and every person. It paves the way for equality in the society. This great philosophy it put forth by Periyar Rama Swamy. He stood for Rationalism and Socialism, the great vehicles for bringing equality in the society.

In view of the splendid philosophy espoused and practiced by the great people, they have become ambassadors for equality called Samata and hence become the symbol and logo to Samata Seva Samiti.
